The Singapore river has changed a lot since last time. During the times of development, the river was full of goods carrying boats and was not so clean.
Soon, after the government ordered a cleaning up of the river and modernizing it into a business district. Today, people enjoy fancy meals along Boat Quay and many work in the offices nearby.
In the far future, it may change to something different to fit the needs and purposes for the future. Who knows what it will be like. But let's hope its origins will be preserved and will remain as a heritage site.
